Working with Sales to develop proposals for custom solutions

Designing and coding custom solutions for Blackbaud clients

Implementing custom solutions in house and on client sites

Investigating new technologies, markets, and revenue opportunities
Experience and Skills:

Candidates who wished to be considered for this position must possess a background in software application development and have the following skill set:

4 or more years of programming experience in the following: VB 6.0, COM, DCOM, Visual Interdev, MS SQL Server, .Net, Oracle)

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Platforms

Experience in multiple programming disciplines & methodologies (SDLC, RAD, Waterfall, et cetera).

Experience designing & developing Enterprise level applications and software customizations that are high peroformance, scalable, and extensible.

Experience integrating with other Enterprise systems (e.g. SAP, Great Plains, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, et cetera) a plus.

Knowledge of use cases, functional specifications, portability & scalability

Superior oral and written communication skills

The ability to deliver effective client presentations

Programming experience in a Professional/Consulting Services organization

Bachelors degree in Computer Science (advanced degree a plus)

Experience in the nonprofit environment a plus
Excellent interpersonal and client management skills
Must be knowledgeable in PM Methodology & able to provide status reports to clients
Excellent consultative & technical problem solving skills.

Occasional travel may be required
