posted 03-28-2006 11:18 AM CT (US)      I am seeking advice from "elder" or more experienced IT professionals. I have now been working a help desk type of job in local governement in which I have had a broad range of experience (networking, hardware, software, etc.), but do not consider myself a specialist at this point (what the vast majority of next level positions available call for). I have worked this job faithfully for 3.5 years after graduating from the university and am seeking advice on how to take the next step as an IT professional. Any help or recommendations are welcome.
