AUSTIN, TEXAS, (JULY 27, 1998) -- The itmWEB Site, located on the Internet at http://www.itmweb.com, has formally announced its new association with Webhosting.com, a premier web hosting service based in Toronto, Canada. The itmWEB Site is a vast collection of news, resources, and features for IT professionals specifically focused on technology management, systems development, and computer programming. The site content was officially moved to the Webhosting.com servers on July 18th.
"This is a major step forward for itmWEB," stated site founder Russ Finney, who also serves as the MIS Guide at the New York City based Mining Company. "I am expecting a major credibility boost now that itmWEB has been relocated to such a technologically advanced provider. Webhosting.com is one of the top five virtual hosting services in the world."
The itmWEB Site, which was originally established on the GeoCities servers in 1996, has over time become a major destination point for many Information Technology CIOs, executives, managers, and consultants. In addition, it continues to gain increased visibility as a resource for the academic and educational communities. The site now receives well over 1,000 hits per day.
"The move out of GeoCities over to Webhosting.com means that many more highly advanced website functions are now within reach," remarked Finney.
